Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ third California property will open on the beachfront site of the old Miramar Beach Hotel near Santa Barbara in 2018.
The Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito will have 170 rooms, including a number of single-story cottages and bungalows. The 16-acre property, located about 80 miles northwest of Los Angeles, will have 12,000 square feet of meeting space.
The site, where the Miramar Beach Hotel was shuttered about 15 years ago, is being developed by Los Angeles-based developer Caruso Affiliated, whose projects include Los Angeles retail center The Grove.
